Hello creator! I'm schwertlilie on AO3 (here on the handy app).

I intend this letter as a jumping-off point: if you already have an idea that follows my DNWs, go forth and have fun! Different people like different amounts of details from their recips. If you think anything beyond my sign-up will muddle things for you, close this tab and be free. :) Please don't feel obligated to include every like or prompt: there's a lot, and a few are contradictory.

Treats are enabled, I'm requesting both art and fic. Unless otherwise specified, I'm not picky about pairing order or who tops/doms/penetrates/etc. (The big exception is dubcon/noncon for the Original Work requests, with A/B where I prefer that A is the aggressor and B the victim.)

About gender: I have to be in exactly the right mood for trans fic or I get dysphoric, so it's safer to DNW it. This doesn't apply to alternate genital arrangements, like a cis woman with a cock, fantasy dual genitalia, or a vagina with anenome-tentacles inside: people usually write trans characters and e.g. cuntboys differently, and the cis identity of a male omega with a vagina is usually unquestioned.

If you'd rather err on the side of caution and stick to conventional genitals for humans, that's a-okay.

Art Likes:

I put some art-specific prompts with the pairings, but if you a) already have an idea, b) want to make a moment from a narrative prompt or c) simply draw two characters posed on a solid background, go for it!

My requests, in no particular order:

Final Fantasy VII Remake/Rebirth

I'll be the first to admit I have a blorbo, but I do genuinely care about all the characters & relationships I've requested. This cast is so big (and so pretty)! I want to see them bounce off of each other, and how they can make each other better.. or worse.

Given the wibbly-wobbliness of the dimension travel/divergence here, if you want to pull in details/characters from Compilation which don't contradict Remake/Rebirth, feel free.

If you want to set something after the games so far, go for it! I'm open to speculation here, given Remake's final bosses. That said, if you want Darkstar to not be present, please just omit the dog rather than talk about it dying.

Unmarked Rebirth spoilers below.

President Shinra & Rufus Shinra

So. This mess. We don't see them meet on screen in RR, but boy is the President hanging over a lot of Rufus' actions in Rebirth. Beyond Gleniroth using it to mock Rufus, Rufus consistently rejects his father's vision for Shinra (and therefore the world), and it's so much more personal than policy differences.

(Feel free to name the President if you want. I've seen "Rupert" in a few fics, or you can pick something else.)

• Was there ever a time when the President was a decent father? (Whether or not Rufus recognized it as such.) Or was he always a self-absorbed ass who discarded what he thought was unnecessary? (And does that make Rufus necessary, and for what?)
  
• What did the President tell Rufus about the Promised Land? I can see the President using it as fodder for bedtime stories about how wonderful Neo Midgar will be, how smart the Shinra family is for pursuing it, etc.
  
• Shinra was a manufacturing company, once upon a time, and there's a photo of a young President assembling a sun lamp. How much of those more hands-on skills were passed on to Rufus (assembly, design, etc rather than administration). Does Rufus reject them or pursue them (to spite his father? to feel closer to him?)? I can see Rufus designing his own guns, which would be an opportunity to have the President give all kinds of unasked for critique when he found out.
  
• How does the existence of Rufus' half-siblings (e.g. Lazard) affect Rufus' relationship with the President? Are they obstacles, for Rufus or the President? Back-ups in case something happens to Rufus? A threat to hold over Rufus' head if he doesn't meet his father's expectations?
  
• Art: something that compares/contrasts them - maybe one in shadow, the other in light? They both wear purple (albeit different purples), playing with that could be fun.

Aerith Gainsborough & Rufus Shinra
Aerith Gainsborough/Rufus Shinra

I think these two are interesting for the way they passed each other by - Aerith was in Shinra Tower for years then watched by the Turks, and has a complicated relationship with Tseng, not unlike Rufus. They make me ask "what if?"

Rufus refers to her as "the Ancient" a few times, rather than using her name, but they're civil enough in Junon. I think the disconnect between treating her as a person and as a company asset can go some really interesting places. Meanwhile Aerith isn't afraid to speak her mind, including to Rufus' face, but she knows when to choose her battles; she could push back on some of his worse ideas.

(Also I read a doujin on Pixiv that sold me on the ship. If you're on Chrome, Google Lens is a good-enough translation.)

Feel free to take this in a platonic or shippy direction, I just want more of these two interacting!

• Did they ever cross paths before Remake? Say, Rufus buying a flower in Sector 8, accompanying a Turk into the slums, or sneaking into the labs. How much would Aerith know? (She clearly has future memories of things to do with the party, but how much else is up for discussion.) Does she spend the entire interaction waiting for the other shoe to drop, confused because it hasn't happened/happened differently in other timelines, amused at the irony, etc?
  
• Do they run into each other during Rebirth-era, apart from the parade & the colosseum? (It could be a missing scene or canon divergence.) Does Aerith know Rufus is using her as a stalking horse + she is still being observed? Does Rufus access any of those observation feeds himself and arrange a meeting?
  
• The end of Rebirth left room for Aerith to start interfering with Rufus similarly to Sephiroth: here's this person who can randomly appear in his office, knows far more than she should, and isn't visible to everyone. She probably has things to say about his decisions, and not all of it good. Can she use this to help Cloud et al? Does she try to guide the SEPC in a better direction? Or does she make it her mission to annoy Rufus at least once a day?
  
• Art: Rufus & Aerith with flower(s). If you put them in the church, light from the hole in the roof on them + the flower patch would be pretty, kind of an "alone together" mood. Alternately, the two of them separated by the wall of an observation tube (like the one Hojo puts Aerith in during Remake).

Elena & Rufus Shinra
Elena/Rufus Shinra

Rebirth gave me crumbs and I want more! I think it's cute the way he reacts to her in the helicopter, and he lets her get away with some serious disrespect in the colosseum. Elena is still settling in during Rebirth, but she has solid skills and worked hard for her place as a Turk.

I'd be happy to see you take it in a platonic or a shippy direction!

• Elena would have been in training before the beginning of Rebirth, and probably before Rufus took over the presidency. Did they interact while the rest of the Turks were busy with other work? E.g. Elena as stand-in bodyguard, as an assistant (and whether it's below a Turk to do that), both of them at the gun range or gym, etc.
  
• Elena is trying Very Hard in Rebirth; I'd like to see her be excellent at something and get recognized by Rufus for it. Tracking the party, foiling an assassination attempt, finding a paperwork discrepancy that exposes a conspiracy...
  
• Based on the Junon media blitz, Rufus has probably been a celebrity for a long time (anyone else remember the way Princes William & Harry were plastered on magazines in the '90s, especially in stuff aimed at tween girls? like that); Elena is roughly ten years younger than Rufus, so she would have grown up seeing him as that celebrity rather than a person. How does Elena handle the "reality" of Rufus (so to speak) compared to the idea she'd have had in her head? How does Rufus deal with it?
  
• Art: Elena guarding Rufus from something (which could be off-screen, or maybe the viewer?). I think the size difference is fun. :D

Darkstar & Rufus Shinra

Rufus sure spends a lot of time alone except for Darkstar, huh? And he takes his dog everywhere. A dev comment about D's "sweet side" in the Remake fight has lived rent free in my head ever since, and I appreciate that Rufus sends D out of combat instead of letting it die this time around.

I don't have any solid headcanons about how they met, why D was created, or how old either of them were at the time. I've written one take, but please don't feel obligated to use the same set-up: in the "Two cakes!" analogy, I like multiple kinds of cakes(/takes on the concept).

How sapient/sentient Darkstar is is up to you. I think D is about the level of a smart dog, but I'm open to something that goes for human or near-human sentience. Canon is inconsistent about what pronouns/gender to use for Darkstar, even within the same fight; I have a mild preference for "it" and "she," but if you have strong feelings about this follow your heart.

Re DNWs: Darkstar getting mildly injured is fine, but please no killing the dog or putting it at serious risk of death.

• A guard hound is probably pretty similar to an actual dog, except when it isn't. How does training/playing/working go with Rufus & Darkstar? Do they train for combat in VR rooms or with live targets? Are there toys that can stand up to a guard hound's jaw strength, or does Rufus commission something special?
  
• How does Link work? What kind of sensory information is shared? How much else goes with it (thoughts; emotions; opinions/threat assessment about people)?
  
• Are there any secrets about Rufus only Darkstar knows? How he feels about [employee], what actually makes him happy, the last time he cried..?
  
• Art: Rufus on the floor with Darkstar. Petting it, playing tug, Rufus sleeping against its side, Darkstar's head in Rufus' lap.

Rufus Shinra/Cloud Strife

The ship that got me into Remake! I love pretty dangerous people being snarky at each other, and their RR fights are the best kind of sparky. (What even is that Colosseum dialogue???) Longer term I think they could be good for each other: Rufus already knows the worst part of Cloud's life, and he's still interested; Cloud isn't impressed by Rufus' money or status, and pushes back when Rufus gets weird about "owning" Cloud.

I like them all along the spectrum from "angry Remake power tripping" to "functional relationship."

• I bet Rufus would like the look of Cloud in a Turk suit! As to how, it could be a canon divergence around the Junon parade where instead of troopers Cloud et al dress as Turks instead; Rufus blackmailing Cloud into the suit; an attempt at otherwise infiltrating a Shinra base/lab/property; in an established relationship, Cloud figuring it out and surprising Rufus...
  
• Is there a time Rufus surprised Cloud with how well Rufus knows him, or vice versa? It could be e.g. a big thing about the Nibelheim experiments or a small thing like knowing that the other doesn't like [food].
  
• Cloud needs something from Shinra, and Rufus bargains a night from him in exchange. What do they do? Does Rufus put Cloud to work? Dubcon/noncon him? Take him to a nice dinner because he wants a chance to stare at Cloud for an hour?
  
• Art: Rufus or Cloud asleep while the other looks on; Cloud kneeling with Rufus tipping his chin up (with his hand? a gun?).

Rufus Shinra & Vincent Valentine

I'd love to see these two meet! Vincent in Rebirth is a bit ambivalent about the SEPC - he still (sort of) works for them instead of only sleeping in his coffin, and he cares enough about the Turks to help get them out of the Temple. He's the product of an earlier age, before the Wutai war and the SEPC settling into hegemony. And then there's Rufus, new president and promising a new era for the company, but he still has to deal with the consequences of the past.

... They're also both dramatic as all get out, with a tendency to isolate themselves.

• Vincent would have seen the early parts of Rufus' father's reign. What does he think about Rufus, and the differences Rufus is trying to make? What does Rufus think of this relic?
  
• Does Rufus ever try to call Vincent back into service, once he rescues the Turks from the Temple? (Either on a permanent basis or for a particular job.) How does that meeting go? Is Rufus weird about Vincent being a former employee/test subject, does he approach it like a transaction, or does it go in an entirely different direction?
  
• If they end up in a combat situation, they both use guns (albeit pretty differently) and can be acrobatic when they feel like it. If one of them has their weapon knocked out of their hand, can the other use it? Does Chaos/Galian Beast come out to play? (Rufus tries very hard to look unaffected by much of anything around him; do Chaos or the Beast throw him off, or is he actually unbothered?)
  
• Art: the two of them back to back, aiming in opposite directions; Vincent looming while Rufus works

Final Fantasy XIV

Fandom-specific DNW: the WoL. The WoL existing off-screen is fine, though I prefer that you keep the WoL as non-specific as you reasonably can.

Unmarked Dawntrail spoilers below. I'm caught up, so you don't need to worry about spoiling me either.

Cid nan Garlond/Nero tol Scaeva

I love these grumpy men, whether they're pining, together, or divorced-but-miss-each other. Nero is snide but Cid's got a sharp tongue when he feels like it too: he doesn't let Nero run roughshod over him, but he doesn't try to cage him or control him either. I'm open to stuff set during any part of canon, from their student days to post-DT.

(There's a Tales story about them in the Academy, if you need inspiration for that particular era.)

• They both got to have their own adventures in ShB and EW - I'm thinking of Cid going to Bozja and Nero in the EW role quests. Does Nero have anything to say about Cid's feelings re: Midas' tempering? Does Cid have opinions about Nero's trip to Garlemald?
  
• Nero desperately wants affirmation. If Cid compliments him on something, how does he react - flustered, arrogant, smug, etc? Does this translate into a praise kink? (I can see it either way, as a kink or as a confused "what is this, it isn't the kind of praise I want" sort of thing, or you can make it a third thing. :D )
  
• How do they manage the frequent long-distance aspects of their relationship? Nero goes off on his own pretty frequently, but Cid travels too. Do they have link pearl sex? Crystal-powered sex toys? Little tokens left behind/tucked into Nero's coat on purpose?
  
• Art: a soft touch; one asleep at a desk/workstation and the other drapes their jacket over him

Nero tol Scaeva & G'raha Tia

The MSQ wasted such good post-ShB opportunities for these two! They're both tied by their study of Allag & the events of the Crystal Tower raids, and they're both former leaders: where Nero is genuinely a genius, G'raha has the advantage of time (and melding himself to the Tower). We got some interaction in the Crystal Tower quests, but I'd really love to see more. I admit I'm thinking of them together mostly in terms of their connections to Allag, but there are other ways to push them together - reacting to MSQ or other events, G'raha being called into the Ironworks for his expertise on the shards, even just running across each other in a bar somewhere.

• 5.4 has Nero and G'raha both in the same scene, and they clearly had a conversation before we see them because Nero references G'raha's' future knowledge, but they don't actually talk to each other in the scene. How did it go? How did Nero take the news of his discoveries about time/dimension travel?
  
• Nero is an engineer while G'raha is a historian. Do their approaches ever conflict? It could be fun to lock them in a room with some Allagan tech that doesn't recognize G'raha's blood, so they have to actually work out how to operate it in order to get out; or to see them get into a debate about a presentation to a third party, such as the Students of Baldesion or the Grand Companies.
  
• ShB G'raha clearly had some Ideas(TM) about the heroes of the age, based on the chronicles people like Edmont de Fortemps left behind. Does he have any opinions about the stories of the post-Black Rose Nero compared to the Nero he knew from the alliance raids/knows post-5.4? Conversely, did Nero have any trouble with reconciling ARR G'raha and the post-ShB G'raha?
  
• The Ironworks has operations in Mor Dhona; the EW alliance raid portal/Omphalos is in Mor Dhona. Coincidence??? Did G'raha & Nero cross paths during/after the events of the raid series? Does G'raha trust Nero with the story of what happened, does Nero try to access the portal but fail, does Nero access the portal successfully, etc?
  
• Art: Nero's design leans red & white, G'raha's leans red & black; sharing a drink; together with an Allagan node

Omega/Nero tol Scaeva

I was replaying the Omega quest line for other reasons, and the potential for Omega/Nero ambushed me. There's all that time Nero was unsupervised in the Rift, available for experimenting, and post-EW there are opportunities for adventures in space. And Nero could do with someone beyond Cid who can challenge him intellectually!

Up to you what form(s) Omega uses here: I admit I think M & F are gorgeous in an alien/inhuman way, but I'm down for xeno robot interactions. Yes, porn is an option, but so is Nero gently patting Omega's carapace.

• Omega needs repairs it can't perform by itself or with Alpha's help, so it turns to Nero for assistance. It could be bio-mechanical or electrical/programmatic, but either way it's intimate.
  
• Omega doesn't understand the porn it's observed over the centuries: people sound similar when fucking as they do when they're injured/in pain, and sometimes they hurt each other on purpose. This goes beyond reproduction, is it a way to gain strength? It recruits Nero as a test subject. Does Nero try to be earnestly helpful or deliberately unhelpful? (Does this make Nero's story about being ambushed & injured by Omega during Sigmascape a white lie?)
  
• They have access to the Babil space elevator and the Ragnarok teleport to Ultima Thule. Do they take an adventure together, or find the other there coincidentally? (Nero would be a terrible person for Omega to ask for emotion-related advice about the nu-Omicrons.) Does Nero come to the rescue of the little Omega?
  
• Art: M & F attempting to menace Nero, who isn't intimidated; big Omega sheltering Nero from the sun/rain/etc.

Fourchenault Leveilleur & Vrtra

Two diplomats, both alike in dignity... I think it would be fun to bounce "father who likes to act like a grumpy old man" Fourchenault against "old dragon who likes to cosplay an auri child" Vrtra.

• Fourchenault was one of the first people to see Vrtra step up as Satrap, at the beginning of the Final Days. Was there any awkwardness as Vrtra had to learn to act as Satrap rather than a kid or a shadowy advisor? Did Fourchenault struggle with the revelation the rumoured dragon of Radz-at-Han was now its Satrap? (Because he probably prepped a bunch of arguments assuming he would be facing Ahewann.)

• Vrtra has first-hand knowledge of a whole lot of Etheirys' history, was more involved with mortal affairs than the Dravanians, and was alive during the founding of Sharlayan itself. (Whether he has useful information is another question entirely). Once he takes over as Satrap, I can see a whole bunch of Sharlayans requesting for interviews/visits/etc, and Fourchenault would be well-suited to negotiating a knowledge-sharing agreement with Vrtra. Does Fourchenault have questions of his own?
  
• Art: Any of dragon, tall, or small Vrtra are welcome! The pair of them in the Forum, Meghaduta, Labyrinthos; Fourchenault with nouliths out while tall Varshahn guards against a monster (or something unseen, off-screen).

Koana & Vrtra

Playing Dawntrail, once I got over my squee about seeing Vrtra wreck the fleet, I immediately wanted to know more about the negotiations between Koana & Vrtra. I have so many questions.

• Seriously. How did that team-up happen? Why did Vrtra agree? What did Tural offer Thavnair?
  
• If Vrtra stuck around for a little while after the battle was over, are there any practical considerations for housing & feeding a dragon/a Horde? Does Koana take Vrtra for a tour of Tuliyollal with big/little Varshahn?
  
• Vrtra is old enough to have seen technologies come and go, but he understands wanting the best for one's people; would he have any useful input about Koana's quest to modernize Tural? Whether about how to balance the needs of different people, how to convince people of things for their own good, rates of change & managing Koana's own expectations...? Alternately, would his input not be useful?
  
• Art: Koana & Varshahn at a market stall; sitting together (at a restaurant counter, with stools?) with small Varshahn's feet not quite touching the ground. Again, dragon, tall, and small Vrtra are all great.

Fourchenault Leveilleur & Estinien Wyrmblood

Fourchenault cares about his kids but is terrible at showing it, and here's this weird dragoon who travels with them and jumps out of buildings.. but who helped prevent the end of the world. Meanwhile Estinien is both well-travelled and powerful, and does his own thing instead of being tied to an official authority.

I think they would look striking together, given they're both white-haired elezen but with entirely different attitudes & weapons/armour.

• The Forum opens diplomatic relations with Ishgard and/or Dravania, so Fourchenault tracks down Estinien for a guide/guard (because Estinien has connections). How does it go? Does Estinien make Fourchenault gather firewood? Is Estinien surprised by Fourchenault's skills?
  
• Does Estinien have any Opinions(TM) about Fourchenault's actions before/during EW? (MSQ, Pandaemonium, patch quests, something we didn't see on-screen.) Does Estinien's past (and the loss of his family) affect how he sees Fourchenault?
  
• Estinien is the bearer of Nidhogg's aether (however you want to deal with it, I like multiple head canons here) and survived some pretty intense physical changes; Fourchenault is a sage, which means he studied somanoutics/aetherology. How does Estinien register to Fourchenault's senses/skills? Does it tempt Fourchenault into academic study/asking questions? Does Estinien notice any prying/poking? Entirely elezen!Estinien & draconic!Estinien both welcome.
  
• Art: I think Fourchenault's white robes would contrast well against Estinien's dark purple armour; aside from the above, Estinien offering Fourchenault some dried squid.

Young Lady Magically Corrupted Into Ultra Sexual Being/Others She Corrupts (F/Multi): "Corruption" can mean a lot of things, mentally & physically: is it more like brainwashing, a monster transformation, or bimbofication? Is it a variation on mind break? Does she have mind control/aphrodisiac powers? Does the corruption start with a kiss, orgasm (hers or theirs), the victim swallowing come/slick..? Is she in control of the others she turns or are they independent, doing their own things? I like the idea of her riding a male victim into the mattress or growing a cock and fucking a female victim (possibly fucking either of them literally stupid), and her victim(s) being people she wouldn't normally consider (family, married, social superiors/inferiors, etc), but it's up to you. I'm picturing them teaming up rather than being enemies, but that's up to you. They can encounter each other through a giant Capcom crossover, a Yamato accident, a chance meeting in modern Japan, etc...

• Do Dante or Vergil realize that Amaterasu is a goddess, or what her weapons are? Does Amaterasu peg them as half-devils and/or Sons of Sparda?
  
• Dante & Amaterasu come up with an unconventional use for a Brush power, play target practice with guns vs ink dots/bullets, or how Lucifer and/or the rose-throwing taunt interact with Amaterasu's Bloom power.
  
• Vergil deserves a nice time around someone who won't let him get away with his more self-destructive impulses.
  
• Art: Dante & Amaterasu or Vergil & Amaterasu sitting quietly together under a cherry tree; in a team-up action pose.

Dante (Devil May Cry) & Wol (Mobius Final Fantasy)

Okay, so. I've wanted these two to meet since I realized how similar they are. Dante lives for fighting demons, while it's built into the very laws of the Mobius world that people prove their right to existence via combat - none shall remember the names of those who do not fight. The Mobius battle towers are canonically where Wol goes to have fun fighting endless waves of enemies; sounds a bit like DMC's Bloody Palace, no? And they both have a sense of humour, though Dante's is more silly and Wol's is more dry.

The Mobius setting is built for crossovers - bits of reality just kind of show up in Palamecia, usually with lots of enemies for Wol to fight, and NPC appearances have included a bunch of Final Fantasy protagonists. Why not Dante too?

• Does Dante wind up in Palamecia somehow? (Palamecia could be part of the underworld, or an entirely separate reality.) Does Wol wash up in Redgrave? Or is it some other situation (e.g. Capcom multicrossovers or a Dissidia FF set-up)
  
• Is Wol a relation of Dante's/Sparda's? They've all got white hair and a real love of fighting
  
• Do they fight, compare swords, give each other shit, give each other sympathy about how fighting is great but sometimes it's nice to sit down for a while?
  
• Art-wise, Wol has all kinds of costumes and a tendency toward blue (and occasionally skin), if you want to contrast him against Dante's red. Or one of Wol's side-boob fighter costumes vs DMC3 Dante's tits-out jacket?

Hello creator! I'm schwertlilie on AO3, and I'm requesting both art & fic. Thank you for taking the time to check out my letter, I hope it's useful to you.

This letter includes more general-purpose likes than what I listed in my sign-ups, what I like about the fandoms/characters/relationships requested, and optional prompts. I've gone into a bit more detail about my Do Not Wants (DNWs), e.g. defining "kidfic," but I haven't added any extra DNWs compared to my sign-up. If I make any major changes after this letter goes live, I'll list them in a changelog at the end.

I mean my likes and prompts as a jumping-off point, not a checklist. If you have an idea you think I'll like that avoids my DNWs, go for it! With respect to art I've tried to include prompts that can be done in a single image (rather than require a comic, sense of progression, or even dialogue); if you would rather pose a character or do a portrait against a blank background, that's a-okay too.

For FFVII, I'm specifically requesting the Remake/Rebirth characters. If you want to bring in aspects of the Compilation which don't contradict RR canon, go for it, but please keep the characterizations, appearances, and relative ages of the RR versions.

That said, I love all the things I requested, so please don't take my relative word count as preferences. I want to be clear about what I like in VIIRR versus the original & Compilation, which takes space, but I requested FFXIV, Macross, and Okami because I love them too. The same goes for the relationships that overlap between my ship and platonic "&" requests: I like both, and if you want to create 100% platonic gen for those relationships I'd be happy to see it.

I mention a few non-requested ships in places; I mean them as "If you want to include it it's okay," not as any kind of requirement. I requested solo characters because I like them for their own sake.
